San Antonio Spurs DFS Outlook (8/13/20) vs. Utah Jazz

0

Coming off a big win against the Houston Rockets, the San Antonio Spurs will be looking to finish off with another win in what could be their final game in the bubble against the Utah Jazz.

SPURS INJURY REPORT

Patty Mills – Day-to-day
Tyler Zeller – Day-to-day
Bryn Forbes – Out
LaMarcus Aldridge – Out
Trey Lyles – Out

FanDuel Must Have: DeMar DeRozan – $7800

DeRozan has played well in the bubble and has shown up when games are on the line. His FanDuel salary is relatively low considering his projection, and you could even use him in a backup role at that price. He is projected for 38.1 points, and he has performed better than that projection in four of his last five games.

DraftKings Must Have: Derrick White – $5900

Derrick White was a standout last time the Spurs played the Jazz on Friday, so he’s definitely a value pickup at such a low salary. He has a low projection of just 23.6 points, but he had 42.2 on Friday and 45.1 in their game before that, a loss against Denver. He may not have put up great fantasy points against Houston, but at under $6,000, that’s an easy risk with the potential for a high reward.

Value Pick: Keldon Johnson (FD: $4300 | DK: $4700)

When it comes to value picks, I rarely pay much attention to projections and look instead to recent fantasy performance and the value the player has given fantasy owners for the salary they’ve used.

Johnson is averaging over 24 fantasy points per game in the bubble and he just had 39.7 against Houston, providing amazing value for his fantasy owners. He’ll probably get plenty of playing time with the second unit tonight, so if you need some help near the bottom of your roster with under $5,000 let to spend, Johnson is an easy pick.
