Video: Discussing DeRozan’s All-Star Snub

0

With the news that the San Antonio Spurs will be without a representative in the NBA All-Star Game since 1997, Project Spurs’ Director of Multimedia Content, Joe Garcia, and editor Paul Garcia got together to discuss Spurs swingman DeMar DeRozan not making the cut for the All-Star reserves.

Joe and Paul break down the reasons DeRozan could possibly have been left out and the tough decisions NBA coaches had to make and they also talk about the potential of some Spurs players still making it to the All-Star festivities.

The guys also name some other snubs including Ja Morant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, Jaylen Brown, Zach LaVine and others, and how DeRozan still could have a sliver of hope of making it depending on the severity of Luka Doncic’s ankle injury.

The NBA also introduced a new format for the All-Star Game, which also honors Kobe Bryant, but the new format and how the NBA announced it caused a lot of confusion, so the guys also break down the basics of the format.
