Toros Nation Podcast: Episode 2

1

Toros Nation PodcastJeff Cerda and I got together this week to talk about the latest in Austin Toros news.

We discussed the loss of Curtis Jerrells, who we both hoped would end up back in Austin this season. Instead he was traded to the Hornets to be Chris Paul’s backup. Any chances of  James Gist playing for the Toros are also gone, as he was waived this week and is expected to sign with Partizan Belgrade.

Jeff and I both think Squeaky Johnson can come in and play starting point guard, but the search to fill the void left by Dwayne Jones is on, although it seems the Suns have waived him.

To finish the show, we talked about the upcoming draft and the positions the team may look to fill.

  1. What is the latest with Ryan Richards? Is he going to join the Torros this season, or is he still injured? I really hope this guy does play with the Torros, after watching him he can really turn into something special.
