Spurs vs. Blazers Gameday Preview

The San Antonio Spurs (10-12) will be at home hosting the Portland Trail Blazers (13-9) tonight.

The Spurs are reeling from a two game losing streak, both of which were blowouts to the Houston Rockets and Minesota Timberwolves.

The Blazers have lost four of their last five, including a narrow loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday.

The Blazers are led in points and assists by Damian Lillard, who is averaging  26.6 points and 6.1 assists per game. DeMar DeRozan is leading the Spurs in both categories with season averages of 23.8 points and six assists per game.

This is the second game of the season series against the Blazers this season, with Portland taking the first win 121-108. Lillard proved to be a tough matchup for the Spurs guards as he finished with 29 points and nine assists, and he’ll likely be a handful tonight.

Both teams have been struggling defensively and they could both use a win tonight to get them back on track.
