AT&T CENTER – The San Antonio Spurs (16-6) will host the Los Angeles Lakers (6-16) Friday evening in a game that has a bit more attention than a usual 23rd game of the regular season in mid December, as Lakers guard Kobe Bryant, is 31 points away from passing Michael Jordan to move into third place on the NBA’s All-Time scoring list.

On the Spurs’ end, they’ll be missing their best perimeter defender in Kawhi Leonard (bruised right hand), but they will have Tony Parker return to the lineup, after he missed time with a mild strain, of his left hamstring. Being here at the arena, I previewed the game in the audio clip below and discussed what both coaches had to say in their pregame interview, as well as gave an update on Leonard’s injury status.
