Video: Kyle Anderson nails game-winner for Spurs vs. Legends

San Antonio Spurs rookie Kyle Anderson continues his strong play for the D-League’s Austin Spurs as he dropped 28 points to lead Austin to the win over the Legends.

Against the Legends, Kyle showed more aggression going to the rim, and the ability to step up when it counts.

With six seconds left in the game clock, Anderson sized up a three-pointer and nailed it giving Austin the narrow 100-97 win. (more…)

Spurs win ‘Best Analytics Organization’ at Sloan Sports Conference

The 2015 Sloan Sports Conference handed out awards and the San Antonio Spurs captured the conference’s Best Analytics Organization. Also winning an award was Spurs GM R.C. Buford  as he received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his use of analytics within the team. Lifetime achievement award goes to RC Buford GM Spurs congrats!!!

In the Tim Duncan era, the San Antonio Spurs have only had six losing streak of four games or more. Two of those losing streaks have occurred this season. Despite carrying a supposedly healthy roster, the Spurs have failed to get their season out of the mud. This season’s Rodeo Road Trip will be the first ever to finish with a losing record. Sitting at 34-23, the Spurs are more likely to fall out of the playoff race than they are to snatch a higher seeding. With two-thirds of the season now in the books, is it time to smash the panic button on the Spurs?
