Splitter scores 19 in final game with Valencia

With the NBA lockout sent to end this week, so are San Antonio Spurs’ Tiago Splitter’s playing days with Spanish team Valencia Basket.

Splitter has stated he has played his last game with Valencia after scoring 19 points, 2 assists, 9 rebounds, 5-5 from the free-throw line, 7-14 from the field in 33 minutes in a 81-64 loss to Real Madrid.

And although his last game was in a loss, Splitter wished the team luck and is happy helped the team in the games he played.

Regarding returning to the Spurs, Splitter stated the team has to take one game at a time.

“We must go step by step, think of the regular season first and then tackle the playoffs.”

With Splitter’s return to San Antonio, this marks the return of Tony Parker, DeJuan Blair, Danny Green and Da’Sean Butler who have left overseas teams since the lockout ended. Chris Quinn will remain in Russia with Khimki Moscow for the duration of their season.

The Spurs are set to kickoff training camp this Friday.
