Welcome to the new ProjectSpurs.com

You may have noticed things look a little different around here. As we talked about on Twitter and Facebook previously, our new site relaunch is live. Our partners, formerly Bloguin, rebranded to The Sports Daily and entered into a new partnership with NESN.com.

This change meant our site would be moved over to a new server with a redesign. We got the ball rolling with our new logos, designed by Aaron Preine, months ago.

The new site features a bit of the styling of the old site, but with a cleaner overall look. Our new server also greatly improves load times. We heard you and have made changes to the advertising on the site. This way the focus remains on the content our staff creates for Spurs and NBA fans.

There are still a few wrinkles being ironed out, but everything should be taken care of within the next few weeks.

Additional Changes:

While our domain, projectspurs.com, still loads this site, you may notice it redirects to The Sports Daily’s domain. That means our article links will no longer start with projectspurs.com and instead start with thesportsdaily.com/project-spurs. This shouldn’t affect things on your end. If you come to Project Spurs through the projectspurs.com domain, you will still be able to do so. If you come through links on social media, nothing will change there.

If you subscribe to our page via an RSS feed reader or an app like feedly, you will need to change that feed url. There is a “Subscribe with RSS” button on the right side of the page and you can use that to update your feed reader. If you subscribe to the Spurscast in iTunes, you will not have to make any changes.

The tabs with other league names will populate with news from around The Sports Daily. You can always click on “Home” to get back to just the Project Spurs content.

This platform will allow us to introduce some new features, including additional pages, but we’ll let you know when those are ready. Also, look out for news on our new membership plan coming next week. It’s a great way to support our staff without us placing additional ads and it comes with a ton of great benefits.

We’re excited for this change, and hope you are too. Feel free to email me – michael at projectspurs dot com – if you have any questions about the site.
