The Memphis Grizzlies officially announced Monday that they have signed JaMychal Green to a 10-day contract. Memphis will not offer Tyrus Thomas a second 10-day contract to make room for Green.
Green’s signing comes on the heels of his 10-day contract with the San Antonio Spurs, where he totaled eight points, six rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes of action over four appearances for San Antonio.
As a starter for the Austin Spurs, JaMychal Green has truly been a force all season, averaging 23 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, all while playing close to 32 minutes per game. Green was also named NBA D-League Player of the Month for December.
