For the San Antonio Spurs, Tiago Splitter, Patty Mills, Tony Parker, Boris Diaw, and Manu Ginobili will be playing for their respective country but the Spurs will also be represented on the US select squad.
In preparation for the Olympic basketball tournament, Team USA will be conducting its training camp in Las Vegas this summer where they will scrimmage against the US select team which will feature two Spurs — DeJuan Blair and Kawhi Leonard.
Blair and Leonard will be joined by Ryan Anderson, DeMarcus Cousins, DeMar DeRozan, Paul George, Taj Gibson, Kyrie Irving, Jeremy Lin, Klay Thompson, John Wall, and Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward.
The select squad is usually the first step to make the basketball Olympic squad but with players such as Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard, Derrick Rose, LaMarcus Aldridge and Chauncey Billups falling to injuries thus leaving the current roster a bit depleted, who knows if Blair and Leonard will get a shot at playing for the US this summer in London.
