The San Antonio Spurs turn over every rock when it comes to discovering basketball talent abroad. From Manu Ginobili to Tony Parker, the Spurs have shown a knack at finding NBA-quality talent across the globe.

That being said, the Spurs recently took a look at Brazilian forward Vitor Faverani (h/t Spurs Brazil).

For those who do not read Spainsh, here is the translation: "Faverani finished his test with the Spurs. The great Popovich likes FIBA. It wouldn't not be out of ordinary ( or crazy) for him to end up with the Texas team."

According to our good friends over at Spurs Brazil, Faverani's current team, Valencia (former team of Tiago Splitter and Nando De Colo), let him travel to San Antonio simply for workout sessions. It is highly unlikely the big man from Brazil makes the squad.

Vitor is a 259 lbs., 6'11" center. With Valencia in the Spanish league, he averaged 9.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and shot 59% from the field in 23 games.
