The San Antonio Spurs had a weekend set with the New Orleans Pelicans and Golden State Warriors, splitting both games and inching closer to a play-in spot.

In case you missed it, here’s a mini recap of both games:

New Orleans Pelicans 124, San Antonio Spurs 91

The San Antonio Spurs opened the weekend with a stinker, falling in a rout to the New Orleans Pelicans, 124-98 at the AT&T Center.

C.J McCollum had 20 points to led New Orleans while Jonas Valanciunas had 16 points and 12 rebounds and Jaxson Hayes added 16 points. With the win, the Pelicans moved 2 1/2 games ahead of San Antonio for the 10th and final playoff spot in the play-in tournament.

San Antonio scored a season-low 10 points in the first quarter, setting the tone for a dismal night. Devin Vassell had 18 points and Dejounte Murray had 17 for the Spurs.

”New Orleans was great,” San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich said. ”One of those games where we won’t watch film. Win them together, lose them together, we move on.”

San Antonio Spurs 110, Golden State Warriors 108

The Spurs closed the weekend with a 110-108 win over the Warriors thanks to Keldon Johnson scoring off a rebound of a missed free throw with three-tenths of a second left.

Josh Richardson led the Spurs with 25 points, and Dejounte Murray had 19. Johnson scored 14 points as San Antonio rebounded from a loss against the Pelicans to down the Stephen Curry-less Warriors.

”I crashed in and I think somebody tipped it, and I just grabbed it and turned around and put it up,” Johnson said of his game winner. ”I was like, `I just want to get it off in time.”’

Jordan Poole scored 28 points for Golden State, and Klay Thompson had 24. Draymond Green returned to the lineup and despite holding the Spurs to 38 percent shooting, was not enough to get the win.
