Video: TP ranks among ESPN’s top 5 point guards

There is no doubt about it, San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker is having one great season. He is averaging 19.2 points 7.9 assists and 3 rebounds and some place him among the contenders for the NBA’s MVP trophy this season.

And rightfully so.

Without Parker’s play, the Spurs would not boast one of the league’s better records or sit atop the Southwest Division, and be the second best team in the West behind the Thunder. Not only that, when Manu Ginobili went down with a broken hand earlier this season, TP upped his game and kept the Spurs in contention in the West.

However, when it comes to where he ranks among the current crop of NBA elite point guards, many differ in opinion. Some point to TP not a traditional point guard and point to his “score first” mentality while some feel quite the opposite.

ESPN recently ranked the NBA’s best point guards and placed TP among the top 5 floor leaders.

What do you have to say Spurs fans? Feel TP was ranked properly or should he have been ranked higher among the best-of-the-best point guards?
