Even though former San Antonio Spurs player Stephen Jackson is currently without a team, he has been working out to stay in shape for the upcoming NBA season. Jackson is confident that he will be playing this coming season and in a recent Instagram video, he has declared that he has gotten his love for the game back.
Jackson’s departure from the Spurs this past season was strange to say the least. He was released in the final days of the regular season which preceded a long playoff run that went 7 games deep into the NBA Finals. Jackson has been on record saying that there is no love lost between him and the Spurs. He still respects and cares for Coach Pop even after how things transpired.
It appears that Jackson is only motivating himself to stay in shape by claiming that his love for the game has returned. He has always been an NBA player known for playing with toughness and heart every time he steps on the court. Although his head may have been in different places throughout his last season in San Antonio, Jackson was always a fan favorite. Maybe if he had this “love” last season he might be on an NBA roster right now. More power to Jackson though as he is on the comeback trail to play in his 14th NBA season at age 35.
So Spurs fans, any “love” still out there for Stephen Jackson?
