EuroBasket 2013 got underway in Slovenia and in Team France's opening match, Germany shocked the tournament pool by beating the favorite French squad 80-74 without Dirk Nowitzki nor Chris Kaman in uniform.
San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker finished with 18 points in 30 minutes of action. Boris Diaw chipped in with 7 points while Nando Do Colo finished with 9 points in the loss.
After the loss, De Colo spoke on what exactly went wrong for France and in a nutshell said the team was just not ready despite having played the German squad twice in exhibition play. Team France will next play Britain.
