Video: Kawhi Leonard works on his three-point shooting

Coming into the 2011 NBA Draft, Kawhi Leonard was touted as a great defensive player with an incredible wing-span, massive hands, a motor that won’t quit and possessed amazing intensity on both ends of the court. However, his biggest knock was that he isn’t much of a shooter and the numbers did not lie.

During the 2010-2011 season at San Diego State, Leonard shot 44.4% from the field and 29.1% from the three-point line.

And it is perhaps this flaw in his game that’s motivating Leonard this offseason as he is prepares to embark on his rookie season with the San Antonio Spurs.

Check out this video of Leonard working on his three-point shooting in Las Vegas. You will be happy to see Kawhi working on his NBA three-point shooting and at one point nails five three-point shots in a row. And in case you’re wondering, Leonard goes 9-15 from downtown in this clip.

Oh and in case you didn’t notice, Leonard is making shots from way behind the NBA three-point line.

Somewhere in San Antonio, you know Spurs shooting coach Chip Engelland is smiling but knows he has some work to do with Kawhi.
