The San Antonio Spurs’ season may be over but that doesn’t mean some of the players will be away from the court during the summer. A few Spurs’ players will be heading to London for the 2012 Olympics such as Manu Ginobili.
Ginobili is a veteran when it comes to Olympic play. He and Argentina were the first team to ever beat Team USA with pro-players in 2004 where they took gold and in 2008, he won a bronze medal.
And as Manu is set to once again represent his home country in London, he took time to reflect on his Olympic experiences.
In the video below (in Spanish) Manu talks about having to face adversity, whether it be in international play or in the NBA, throughout his basketball career and also states it doesn’t matter if Argentina wins gold or bronze, it is still a joy for him to simply medal as Argentina did in 2008.
