Tonight the San Antonio Spurs (4-0) will face the Los Angeles Clippers (2-2) in a Western Conference showdown in Los Angeles. And with the Spurs looking to win five games in a row, the marquee matchup will be Tim Duncan versus Blake Griffin.
The two have matched up six times in the regular season with TD winning four and Griffin winning two. Head-to-head, Blake averages 20.7 points, 2.3 assists, 11.2 rebounds, and shoots 51.5% versus Duncan. TD averages 11 points, 1.8 assists, 7.8 rebounds and shoots 43.3% versus Griffin.
But as the rising forward meets the established veteran tonight, Duncan is showing age is nothing but a number this season averaging 19.3 points and 10.3 rebounds while Griffin is averaging 16.3 points and eight rebounds this season.
