At the 2012 NBA Summer League, San Antonio Spurs’ Cory Joseph was named a Summer League All-Star after averaging 17 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.2 assists, shot 47% from the field in five games in 33 minutes per game.

His best performance came in a 86-80 loss to the Clippers where he scored 22 points, handed out six assists, and grabbed four rebounds in 34 minutes.

While at the Summer League, Joseph spoke on lessons learned during his rookie season with San Antonio and was quick to acknowledge what he learned from veteran guards Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Gary Neal.

With a crowded backcourt for San Antonio next season (Parker, Neal, Nando De Colo, Marcus Denmon, and Patty Mills) it will be interesting if Joseph will get significant time on the court or be sent to the D-League once again.

What do you have to say Spurs fans? Should Joseph be given a chance to shine for the Spurs or does he need to be sent to the Toros for more development?
