Tonight former San Antonio Spurs defensive-ace Bruce Bowen will have his jersey No. 12 lifted to the rafters of the AT&T Center and retired. Bowen’s jersey will join other Spurs greats such as David Robinson, George Gervin, Johnny Moore, Sean Elliott, Avery Johnson, and James Silas.
From his intense defense, willingness to do the dirty-work for the Spurs, leadership and deadly three-point shooting touch, Bowen was a crucial cog in the Spurs’ march to three NBA titles during his tenure with San Antonio.
