Video: 19-year old Tony Parker torches the Lakers

Even at the young age 19, San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker showed flashes of the kind of player he would one day become.

In this highlight Parker shows off the same basic footwork he uses to get his shot off today. Of course the mechanics have been tweaked over time on his release, but you can still see just how raw he is.

This was his best game of the 2002 Playoffs, during his rookie season. He finished with 24 points and 5 assists in a loss to the Lakers, but his performance was just a glimpse of what Spurs fans could look forward to.

The most surprising aspect of this clip is that he actually played his rookie season in the Alamodome. Seeing him run across the fiesta colored floor makes you realize just how long Parker has been in San Antonio. Spurs fans hope to see Parker play out his remaining years in the AT&T Center now, a far cry from the festive colors he once used to blow by.
