Update on Richards, Lorbek

The San Antonio Spurs have swept the Utah Jazz in their first-round and will now wait for their next opponent which will either be the Los Angeles Clippers or the Memphis Grizzlies.

Until the Spurs hit the court again, here is an update on two possible future members of the team — Ryan Richards and Erazem Lorbek.

As we reported here, Richards signed with Sokhumi Tbilisi in Georgia after departing the Lugano Tigers of the Swiss League and recently made his debut. In his first game with his new team, he notched a double-double with 18 points, and 10 rebounds in 26 minutes in a 82-78 win against MIA Academy.

In his second game, against MIA Academy yet again, Ryan scored 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 28 minutes in a narrow 81-79 win for Sokhumi.

Lorbek recently stated he did not know if he has been offered a contract from FC Barcelona to return next season. He went on to state he is simply focusing on the Spanish playoffs and the Euroleague Finals. Could he be on his way to the Spurs next season? Maybe according to reports.
