While this may not be a ranked matchup, it is going to be the premier game of the day. It is Coach K’s last home game in his coaching career and Cameron Indoor Stadium is going to be absolute insanity. There will reportedly be about 80 former players in the building with plenty more students and alumni in attendance.

UNC may not stand a whole lot of a chance here, even as the second-best team in the ACC. The home court advantage for Duke is going to be extra strong since the crowd will not get to see Coach K roaming the sidelines there again. There will need to be a ton of things going right for UNC in this one, but there’s nothing impossible in a rivalry like this one.

UNC vs. Duke Basketball Game Betting Preview

The Blue Devils are a high-scoring team at about 80 points per game and are a decent defensive team, holding opponents to 65 points per game. They also protect the rim quite well, averaging 5.5 blocks per game — good for 11th in the country — with Mark Williams swatting almost three a game on his own.

UNC relies heavily on four guys to get the job done offensively in Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, RJ Davis, and Brady Manek. If any one of those guys has a bad night, it could spell doom for the Tar Heels. They are not a great defensive team so not being able to keep up with the Duke offense will be real bad news for UNC.

Despite a first-year head coach in Hubert Davis, UNC is still a solid rebounding team like in years past. The Tar Heels average almost 40 total rebounds a game and are sixth in defensive rebounds at almost 30 a game. If they can get stops and end those possessions with one shot, the Tar Heels will be in great shape.
