This Saturday, October 9, the Toros will have local player tryouts at Concordia University. Check-in will be at 9 a.m.
Players will participate in several drills and have a chance at a training camp invite.

• Timberwolves waive Johnson
Former Austin Toro DerMarr Johnson was recently waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
According to Ridiculous Upside, the Toros may still own his rights, so the 6-9 forward may be in Toros training camp.
• Jerrells to Solvenia
According to a tweet from Mark of Sham Sports, 2010 Toros leading scorer Curtis Jerrells may be headed to Slovenia to sign with Partizan Belgrade. be sure to check back here on Toros Nation and subscribe to our email updates as we’ll let you know if Jerrells ends up signing in Slovenia, although he still has a chance at earning one of the Spurs’ roster spots out of training camp.
