Tony Parker scores 21 in ASVEL debut

San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker made his debut with ASVEL-Villeurbanne leading the team to a narrow 75-73 win over Paris-Levallois.

Parker played 28 minutes and finished with 21 points, 6 assists, and 7 turnovers in the win including hitting crucial shots for ASVEL in the waning moments of the fourth quarter.

ASVEL took a commanding 29-14 lead in the first quarter but cold shooting allowed Levallois to climb back into the game. At the half, ASVEL was up 42-33.

As Levallois took a slim lead in the fourth quarter but Parker came charging back scoring 10 points in five minutes to secure the slim win.

ASVEL’s record is now 1-2 for the season and will next face BCM Gravelines Dunkerque Grand Littoral next week.
