Tony Parker comments on knee injury, under ‘intensive care’

That huge sigh of relief heard around the globe a few days ago was from San Antonio Spurs fans when news came out that Tony Parker's recent knee injury was not serious.

It was quite the scare for Spurs fans (and perhaps the coaching staff) considering he is the primary threat on the court. It is safe to say the Spurs go as Parker goes.

However, according to Tony himself he still needs time to make sure he is completely recovered for a few more days.

Surely this is simply a precautionary move but at this point, I am sure Spurs fans and coaching staff rather see him not play at EuroBasket next month. But there's no pulling him away from representing his home country now.

Might as well just grin and bear it Spurs fans. He will be playing heavy minutes next month in Slovenia and he will be heading into Spurs training camp with lots of miles on his legs from his summer play.

At least he is taking more time to recover, and not rushing back to the court for Team France.
