Since then, Jackson has kept mostly to himself after apologizing to Ibaka and getting a fine from the NBA for his message.
When the Spurs traveled to face Ibaka and his Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, everyone was holding their breaths to see if anything would come out of the controversy during game time and during the game where it becomes heated at times. After the game they were both confronted with questions by Darnell Mayberry of Thunder Rumblings blog and answered with class.
“I respect your job, but I don’t want to talk about (it). It was a great win for us. We need it. It’s about (the) win, the team win.” (Ibaka)
“I’m leaving that alone. It’s all basketball. Whatever was said on the court is going to stay on the court and I’m going to leave it alone. I wish Serge the best.” (Jackson)
Both men putting this situation behind them is definitely for the best, especially for Stephen Jackson. With his troublesome history in the NBA, he can't afford to be getting into any more trouble especially on a team that's been haunted by injuries so far this season.
