Phoenix Suns' Jared Dudley is not hiding his feelings when it comes to the San Antonio Spurs possibly winning the NBA title this Thursday. In a nutshell, he doesn't want the Spurs to win it all.
"I don't like the Spurs," Dudley stated. "I was here not when they (Suns) were losing, but I was here with Steve and I could feel his pain and emotion on his face when we played them.
"I can feel the fans' passion and I don't like the Spurs and I don't want to see them win."
The Spurs and Suns used to have one of the most heated, if not lopsided, rivalry in the NBA with the Spurs usually coming out on the winning end in the postseason. Time after time, the Spurs sent the Suns' title dreams up in smoke until 2010 when Dudley and the Suns swept the Spurs in the Semi-Finals.
But once the Spurs-Suns rivalry cooled, Phoenix sank to the bottom of the West while the Spurs maintained their championship hopes and continued to be a title contender.
But on behalf of all Spurs fans, let me remind Dudley that the Spurs are in the NBA Finals fighting for a fifth NBA crown and the Suns are not. Oh and San Antonio has four NBA titles while Phoenix has none.
