As the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas is just four days away (July 12), the San Antonio Spurs have yet to release their roster. However, some names have already been reported and now, Dexter Pittman, will be one player who joins the Spurs’ squad according to Hoopsworld.com.

Pittman is a 25-year old 6’11” center who has spent time with the Miami Heat, Memphis Grizzlies, and has had his share of playing in the NBA D-League.

His most consistent time in the NBA was the 2011-2012 season with the Heat where he played in 35 games averaging 3 points, 2 rebounds, and shot 47% from the field in 8.6 minutes per game.

With the Spurs’ active roster set to be at 14 players once NBA contracts are allowed to be signed after July 10, the competition for earing the final 15th spot will be stiff for the group of players representing San Antonio in Las Vegas.

Other reported players who will join Pittman on the San Antonio roster include guard Nando De Colo, 2010 draftee Ryan Richards, 2012 draftee Marcus Denmon, Durand Scott out of the University of Miami, and one would predict the 58th pick for the Spurs in the 2013 draft, Deshaun Thomas.
