Steve Kerr: Heat won’t three-peat

Current TNT analyst and former San Antonio Spurs guard Steve Kerr is already predicting that the World Champion Miami Heat will not make it to a fourth consecutive NBA Finals. It would be a feat that was last accomplished by the Boston Celtics in the years 1984-1987.

The Miami Heat are also hoping to win a third straight NBA championship this season which hasn't been done since the Los Angeles Lakers managed to do it from 2000-2002.

In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, the former NBA champion and Phoenix Suns general manager, Steve Kerr had this to say.

"I don't think Miami will get out of the East this year."

Kerr went on to add.

"There's a reason these teams don't do it. Emotionally, it's just exhausting to keep doing it year after year, particularly when you have to deal with everything Miami has to deal with on a daily basis, just the constant critiquing and scrutiny on the team, and then you factor in the injuries with Wade and Bosh and their health."

Steve has instead picked his former team, the Chicago Bulls to replace the Miami Heat in this years' NBA finals.

I am going to follow Steve at least partially out on a limb and say that I agree that the Heat will not make the Finals this year, but I will disagree with him on the team that will knock them out.

And for the record, I'm going with the Indiana Pacers.
