Welcome to the Play-In Tournament

After going 8-2 in their last 10 games and getting some help from the Phoenix Suns in defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, the San Antonio Spurs have officially qualified for the 2022 Play-In tournament.

The Spurs will play the New Orleans Pelicans, but the question that still needs to be answered is who will be the 9th seed and host the play-in game?

The Pelicans have a one game lead ahead of the Spurs in the standings and for the Spurs, the path to passing New Orleans in challenging, but there’s still at least three paths available.

The Play-In tournament will take place next week from April 12-15.

Keldon Johnson’s 20-Point Game Streak

Since March 23, Keldon Johnson has scored between 20 and 28 points in seven straight games. In the episode, Johnson’s shot selection has changed lately and what his 20-point streak could mean for the future.

Zach Collins and Josh Richardson’s Play Lately

With the Spurs being 8-2 in their last 10 games, two players who have been part of the rotation during this stretch are Zach Collins and Josh Richardson.

Both players weren’t originally part of the opening day lineup, but they’ve fit in quite well in just a short amount of time. Collins has returned from injury that kept him out of games over the last two years and Richardson was acquired via trade at the trade deadline.

The offense and defense both players are bringing to the floor are discussed in the episode.
