Spurs 100 – Grizzlies 98

Led by a season-high performance from Tony Parker, who had 23 points, the Spurs pushed past the Grizzlies, 100-98, Monday night. Following Parker in points for the Spurs were Davis Bertans with 17 and Danny Green with 14.

Spurs 107 – Warriors 100

After leading the way for the majority of the game, the Spurs weren’t able to hold on to the win against the Steph Curry-less Warriors Thursday night. LaMarcus Aldridge led the Way for the Spurs with 30 points. Dejounte Murray posted the next highest in points for the Silver and Black with 14 and Davis Bertans had 13.

Spurs 94 – Thunder 104

Despite a late run that cut a 21-point Thunder lead to 7, the Spurs fell to the Thunder 104-94 on Saturday night. Davis Bertans and Rudy Gay tied for the team high with 14 each. LaMarcus Aldridge followed with 11.

Week in Review

Week 21 handed the Spurs many tough moments, without enough bright spots. While Tony Parker gave the Spurs the push they needed to pull out the win Monday, the Spurs won by just two points. At the end of that game, the only starter who managed to score in double figures was Kyle Anderson.

The Spurs showed some cohesion and looked determined on Thursday as they put up a pretty good fight against the dreaded Golden State Warriors. Still, without the health and consistency they desperately need at this point of the season, the Spurs experienced a heart-wrenching loss in the final minutes of the game.

The Spurs, nearing the end of the season, currently sit in the 7th seed with a losing road record, their first since the season before drafting Tim Duncan.

Looking Ahead

The Spurs will face the top-seed Houston Rockets Monday night in Houston in the first game of a back-to-back. The second is against the Orlando Magic at home. Staying home for the next six games, the Spurs will then play the Pelicans Thursday, where they could reportedly have Kawhi Leonard back, and end the week against the Timberwolves Saturday.
