Maggette averaged 6.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and two assists per game in two preseason games. Maggette, 33, will likely retire, barring a late career renaissance. He posted career low marks in Player Efficiency Rating, true shooting percentage and points per game in an abbreviated 18-game stint withthe Detroit Pistons last season.

Former Austin Toros center Cousin received scant minutes in two games. Kabongo, meanwhile, will reportedly join the Toros according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

Training camp invitees Courtney Fells and Dan Nwaelele are still vying for the final roster spot, though Spurs coach Gregg Popovich habitually opts to enter the season with 14 players.
