San Antonio travels to San Francisco in a Spurs vs. Warriors matchup. The Spurs will look to build momentum off their win against the Milwaukee Bucks, while the Warriors will try to avoid back-to-back losses. Steph Curry was on a hot streak with two 40-point games last week, so expect a show from him in front of the home crowd. The Spurs have played better on the road this season, as head coach Greg Popovich is known to say “The sweetest wins are on the road.” Will the Spurs rising talent be enough to hold off the superstars of the Warriors? This should be a hard-fought game for both teams, make sure you tune in tonight for all the action.

Injury Report

Golden State
Patrick Baldwin Jr., day-to-day
Andre Iguodala, out

There hasn’t been an update on Baldwin since this writing, but it should be safe to assume he will not play.

San Antonio
Romeo Langford, out (Health Protocols)
Tre Jones, out (stomach illness)
Malaki Branham, out (Ankle)
Blake Wesley, out (MCI)
Zach Collins, out (Knee)

Langford will not play tonight, and Branham joins the injury list after an ankle injury in Austin.

Injury Report Analysis

The Spurs will miss Langford’s presence on the defensive end of the floor tonight especially since Collins will be unavailable for weeks. The Warriors will be without their rookie Baldwin. Golden State expects him to be one of the most successful players of this year’s draft class, so it’s a shame to not see him in tonight’s game.

Spurs vs. Warriors Preview

Coming off a win against the Bucks, the Spurs are looking to continue the momentum against this struggling Warriors squad. Expect Johnson and Devin Vassell to lead the charge in points, and for Jeremy Sochan to bring energy and push the pace of the game. Sochan is gaining a reputation for being a menace to the opposing team, it will be fun to see if he limits Curry’s effectiveness. The Warriors present a solid challenge for this young Spurs squad, the defending champs will surely demand top performances from the Spurs in this matchup.

The Warriors are off to a slow start at the beginning of the season. Before the start of the season if anyone said at this time the Spurs would be 6-7 and the Warriors 5-8, no one would believe it. Yet here we are. It’s never smart to count this team out but lately, they seem to depend on MVP-level performances from Curry to win games. Any game could be the game they turn things around. It’ll be interesting to see how they respond to the Spurs’ team-basketball style and defensive pressure.

Who do you think will come out on top?
