Preview
With San Antonio coming off of the blowout loss to Steph Curry and company, Spurs fans were quick to notice just how much of an impact point guard Tre Jones has been for this team. Jones will likely be a game-time decision tonight, so we can expect similar rotations to last night.
Keldon Johnson was the scoring leader for the Spurs in San Francisco with 15. However, this is nearly 8 points shy of his 2022-23 season average. Not far behind were Spurs rookie Jeremy Sochan and Keita Bates-Diop who dropped 12 points a piece. The Spurs will need to see a push from their rising star Devin Vassell who posted just six points in their last outing.
The Portland Trailblazers look to bounce back from their 117-112 defeat to the Dallas Mavericks. Forward Jerami Grant had a monster night posting 37 points and shooting at 59.1% from the floor. If the Spurs want to stop the number one ranked contender, they will need to limit another big performance from Grant, and contain NBA superstar Damian Lillard.
