After their nail-biting victory over the Golden State Warriors (110-108) the San Antonio Spurs look to start a winning streak tonight against the Portland Trail Blazers to fight their way to the Play In. In their last meeting, the spurs enjoyed a blowout victory 114-83, in a game where Dejounte Murray had a Double-Double. (13 assist 15 points) The Blazers have been riddled with injuries since then and have only won 2 of their last 12 games, so hopefully, the momentum off Keldon Johnson’s last-minute game-winning bucket will be enough for a repeat performance.

What To Watch For

Spurs will be looking for great performances from starters Keldon Johnson Dejounte Murray and Josh Richardson who combined for 58 points against the Warriors. With Lonnie Walker, IV ruled out for tonight’s game (back) look for fan-favorite Josh Primo to get more minutes to showcase his talent and development.

Both the Spurs and Blazers are 2 games behind the New Orleans Pelicans in losses and a victory tonight will be a huge boost in momentum for both teams. The Blazers broke their four-game losing streak by defeating the Detriot Pistons 119-115, so both teams will be fighting for momentum for a Play In birth.

Spurs will need to find answers for the Blazers Ben McLemore and Brandon Williams who combined for 44 points against the Pistons and look for another heroic performance from Keldon Johnson to give the spurs Back-2-Back wins to lead up to their next contest against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Former Spur Drew Eubanks will be someone to keep an eye on tonight in his first game against the Spurs after being signed to his fourth 10-day deal with the Blazers after being waived by Toronto after being traded by The Spurs Organization. After four seasons with the Silver and Black fans will be happy to see him on the court again and Eubanks will be playing hard to show was a mistake to trade him, in hopes for another 10-day deal or a contract till the end of the season. Since being with the Blazer Eubanks has averaged 9.6 points (58.8% FG, 77.8% FT) 8.1 rebounds 1.0 assist, and 26 minutes a game.
