Spurs Nets

The San Antonio Spurs will be hosting the Brooklyn Nets tonight in the AT&T Center at 7 PM CT. The 13-31 Spurs will look to snap their six-game losing streak against the 27-15 Brooklyn Nets. The Nets are currently on their own losing streak coming off back-to-back losses to the Thunder and Celtics.

The Nets find themselves at the top of the Eastern Conference just under the Celtics, while the Spurs are in a race toward the bottom of the West against the Rockets. However, there will be some key injuries that could keep San Antonio in this game. Kevin Durant will be out, while Kyrie is questionable.

Due to injuries, Brooklyn will still be the sizeable favorite, however, the odds are a little more even. The Nets are the -225 favorites over the Spurs. The Spurs are +180 on the money line if you have confidence in the possible upset tonight in San Antonio. The Spread is -5.5 points for Brooklyn while the over-under sits at 232.5. These odds are according to BetMGM.

Spurs vs. Nets Preview

Coming into the matchup, we have one of the highest-ranked teams vs. one of the lowest-ranked teams. NBA Superstar vs. no NBA Superstars. Experience vs. little experience. San Antonio has a tough one tonight, but with no Durant, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

With Devin Vassell still out, Keldon Johnson and Tre Jones will be leading the charge against the talented lineup across the court. Blake Wesley has also received a call-up from the G-League for tonight’s matchup, so he could play a role off the bench. Doug McDermott is out, so Josh Richardson will need to provide some quality bench points, along with an aggressive Romeo Langford. This will need to be a team effort for the Spurs if they want to overcome this one.

The Brooklyn Nets will be looking to snap their two-game losing streak and come out aggressive. If Kyrie enters the starting lineup tonight, the odds makers will shift the lines a good amount. If Kyrie does not enter the matchup, expect a tough and-nail battle between these teams.
