Preview

The San Antonio Spurs are coming off of a close matchup with the number one team in the west, the Portland Trailblazers. Jakob Poetl saw his best night of the season finishing the game with 32 points, 5 assists, and 14 rebounds. He was lights out as he shot at 82% making 14 of his 17 attempts. Devin Vassell had another great night with 21 points and finished with four three-pointers shooting 50% from beyond the arc. Keldon Johnson was just one point behind with 20. The Johnson-Vassell duo has been certainly exciting for San Antonio fans. However, Keldon Johnson will be questionable for tonight’s matchup.

The Sacramento Kings will be on their home turf for the third game in a row. They are coming off a blowout 31-point win that nearly reached 40 points throughout the game against the Nets. Terrance Davis came off of the bench and led all scorers with 21 points. Their next leading scorer was Kevin Huerter with 19 points.

The Spurs did look much better with the return of Tre Jones last game. We will need to see the team continue to pass the ball and put up another 30-point plus assist night to get past the Kings. Even if Johnson does not play, the team can rely on Vassell to put up a strong scoring performance. With the possibility of Doug McDermott not playing, our bench will need to shine and Josh Richardson will need to step up in their absences.
