The San Antonio Spurs faced the Los Angeles Clippers in a preseason matchup in Mexcio City.
For the Spurs, they came out of the gates looking flat. Shots were not falling, the Clippers were getting easy shots at the rim and eventually built up a double-digit lead in the first half.
In the second half the Spurs fought back from an 18 point deficit to eventually take the lead. It was a close game in the fourth quarter as both team exchanged leads and with the Spurs down 99-97, Manu Ginobili drew up the final shot which was for the Spurs’ Summer League star Gary Neal who made the clutch three-point shot with 1.5 seconds to take the lead for the Spurs and seal the win over the Clippers.
Final score 100-99. Spurs go to 2-1 in the preseason and will next face the Cleveland Cavaliers in Pittsburgh this Thursday.
