Spurs Preview

For the first time in the season, the San Antonio Spurs will be the favorite in their matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks. However, this is mostly to do to a plethora of injuries for the visiting team including NBA superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Last time out against the Grizzlies, Jakob Poeltl, and Devin Vassell were the scoring leaders bagging up 22 points each. Poeltl just missed the double-double mark with 9 rebounds. However, this is his new season high for the year. On the other hand, Vassell has not skipped a beat since he returned from his knee injury. In the four games that he has been back, he has averaged 22 points. The Spurs even looked to him when it came to the last shot of the game against Memphis.

Not far behind the duo was Keldon Johnson with 16 points. Johnson has continually proved this year that the Spurs can rely on him to put up nearly 20 points a game. As one of the clear leaders of this San Antonio team, expect to see another high-energy night from Johnson.

Bucks Preview

As seen in the injury report, There will be a lot of star power missing from the Bucks’ lineup tonight. This will be the second consecutive game that both Giannis Antetokounmpo and guard Jrue Holiday will sit out for the team. Despite their absence last game, the Bucks were able to pull together a 136-132 overtime win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.

Guard Jevon Carter posted a career-high of 36 points. The last time he posted over 30 points, Carter was in his rookie season with the Grizzlies back in 2019. He has had the opportunity to start each game this year alongside Jrue Holiday (when he was healthy). Let us see if the veteran will have the same hot hand tonight.

The Spurs might not be the best team this year, but one thing that is certain is they are exciting. What are your predictions for the game tonight?
