Sunday the NBA released the preseason schedule for the 2020-2021 season and the San Antonio Spurs will be facing the Oklahoma City Thunder once and the Houston Rockets twice in the shortened preseason.

Game 1 vs OKC Saturday 12/12/2020 6:00 PM CT

The Thunder will have a new team compared to where they left the playoffs in the bubble. Not only was Chris Paul traded to Phoenix, Dennis Schroder was traded to the Lakers. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will have veterans Al Horford and George Hill by his side, while the rest of the Thunder roster is filled with more players working to develop their game.

Game 2 @ Houston Tuesday 12/15/2020 7:00 PM CT

While the Rockets still have James Harden and Russell Westbrook on the roster, both players were in trade rumors and the team has made some moves this offseason, including trading Robert Covington to Portland, while adding big man Christian Wood from Detroit.

Game 3 @ Thursday Houston 12/17/2020 7:00 PM CT

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the NBA will be playing a shorter regular season and that meant a shortened preseason. The Spurs will be playing two teams in the preseason who are regionally closer to them, and as you can see with the Houston games, they’ll be staying in Houston for both games to avoid the travel and back and forth.
