Spurs tip 2018-19 season October 17 against Minnesota

NBA regular season schedules were released today, and while we are still about two months away from the season, San Antonio Spurs fans can now start planning their schedules around the upcoming season.

It all starts at home on October 17 against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Just days later, on October 22 in Los Angeles, the Spurs will get a look at the new-look Los Angeles Lakers, who landed the gem of the 2018 free agency period in LeBron James.

LeBron and Co. will be making their first trip to the AT&T Center that same week on October 27. It’s a safe bet that many may use their BetSid Bonus on the Lakers with James now in tow.

A key game in November will be a home game on November 10 against the Houston Rockets, who just recently signed Carmelo Anthony.

Eight days later the Spurs will host the defending NBA champions as Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and the Golden State Warriors will be visiting for the first game of the season series. While the Warriors signed DeMarcus Cousins in the offseason, it’s still doubtful he will be healthy by November 10.

The game that’s been on the minds of most Spurs fans since Kawhi Leonard was traded north of the border is the return of Leonard and Danny Green. They’ll be in San Antonio on January 3 in a TNT nationally televised game. Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan and center Jakob Poetl, who the Spurs received in the trade, will be making their returns to the Air Canada Centre on February 22.
