Tuesday the San Antonio Spurs signed Kenny Williams and Galen Robinson Jr. according to the Real GM transaction page.
The news of Robinson Jr. signing was reported Monday. With Williams on the roster, the team now has 20 players in training camp, where the roster needs to be trimmed down to 17 players (15 NBA and two two-way players) before opening night of the regular season.
Williams is a 6’4″ shooting guard who went undrafted from the University of North Carolina. In his senior season at UNC, Williams averaged 8.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.
He’s familiar with the Spurs since he participated on the Utah and Las Vegas Summer League teams this past summer.
Williams and Robinson Jr. have signed exhibit 10 contracts, which means once they’re waived, they’ll most likely end up in Austin with the G-League Spurs unless they sign with another NBA team.
