AUSTIN – The Austin Spurs announced today that they have traded forward Jarell Eddie to the Windy City Bulls in exchange for forward Hollis Thompson.

Thompson played three seasons at Georgetown before going undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft. He’s jumped around the Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs and Orlando Magic’s training camp rosters, but finally received his NBA break with the Philadelphia 76ers.

In three years with the Sixers, the 25-year-old Thompson averaged 8.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists while shooting 42 percent from the field and 39 percent from beyond the arc.

No word on if Thompson will be available for the Austin Spurs tomorrow night, as they take on the Northern Arizona Suns for Pink Night. Tipoff is at 8 p.m. CST from the H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, with the game airing live on ESPNU.
