The Spurs recently lost long-time coach MIke Budenholzer and teams in the NBA such as the Philadelphia 76ers and Denver Nuggets have spoken to Brett Brown about their coaching positions. Brian Shaw took the job with Denver and according to reports, the 76ers only received permission to speak with Brown.

Needless to say the Spurs needed to fill their coaching ranks. There were reports of former Spur Fabricio Oberto being offered an assistant coaching spot but recent reports have him not returning to San Antonio.

Boylen has been an assistant with the Houston Rockets, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, and the Pacers. He won two titles with the Rockets.

So what do you have to say Spurs fans? Thoughts on the new coach?
