San Antonio Spurs’ 
Tony Parker is having an amazing season. I’d like to call it an MVP season because he’s definitely putting up the numbers (20.1 points, and 8 assists per game) for it, but I think the odds of Parker winning the MVP trophy are slim to none.
Of course, that’s not for his lack of ability but more because of the competition he’s going up against, but we can all agree he’s one of the premiere point guards in the NBA.
If you asked a Spurs fan what Parker could improve on, they’d probably tell you maybe he could improve his outside jumper a little bit, or some other miniscule way he could tweak his game. If you ask Tony Parker, his answer might be a little different.
During a Q&A session on Twitter, Parker was asked, “what aspects of the game do you think you can still improve on?” Parker responded with one word: “everything.”
Parker is either showing a lot of humility or just taking the easy way out and giving a cliche answer. I’ll go with both, but lean on the side of modesty, even if that’s not the TP we’ve come to know and love.
It’s great for the Spurs that even when Parker is having one of the best years of his career, he’s still striving to get better. You love to see a guy that’s always hungry to improve his game. It’s infinitely better than if he had said something like “I’m at the top of my game right now and really wouldn’t change anything.”
Good for Tony, showing some humility and admitting that he still has things to work on. If he keeps working hard, he’s definitely capable of leading the Spurs back to the NBA Finals.
