• Earlier today, Utah Jazz coach Jerry Sloan resigned from his heading coaching duties which now makes Spurs’ coach Gregg Popovich the longest tenured coach with one team in the NBA. With Sloan’s resignation, former Spurs’ player Tyrone Corbin will take over as head coach of the Jazz.

• First George Hill and now possibly IUPUI’s Alex Young might make the leap into the NBA:
“What helps Alex is a lot of NBA teams are saying, ‘How did we miss on George Hill? We’re not going to miss on this guy,’ ” Hunter said. “Alex is getting additional attention because of what George has done.”
