Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals between the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat was one for the ages and it drew in the TV audience.
The game drew in the second-most viewers for the Finals on ABC since the network took over the series in 2003. The season finale game drew in an average of 26.3 million people.
Thursday night's final between the Spurs and the Heat drew a 17.7 overnight rating, the second best NBA rating ever for ABC. That included a 44.2 in Miami and 46.4 in San Antonio.
The game peaked at a 22.6 between 11:30 and 11:45 p.m. ET last night. The entire NBA Finals was up 5% from 2012 when the Heat defeated the Thunder.
The Heat walked away with the NBA crown, defending their title and beating the Spurs 95-88.
