Spurs, Heat Game 6 wins an ESPY for ‘Best Game’

While most San Antonio Spurs fans are still recovering from the NBA Finals, some might not have noticed that the Spurs were part of an ESPY winner.

The Spurs along with the Heat won the ESPY category for Best Game for their epic battle in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. I know it takes two teams to play a basketball game, but it’s reasonable that only the Heat were on hand to accept the award.

The other nominees in the category that were beat out were the Game 7 between the Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs, and the AFC Divisional Playoff game between the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos.

Tony Parker was also nominated for Best NBA Player along with Carmelo Anthony, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and winner LeBron James.

A game that will go down in the history books as one of the best ever, will always be remembered for the wrong reasons by Spurs fans. This will definitely not be the last time we will have to see or hear about that game, but hopefully Spurs fans can now get ready to bounce back strong and start fresh for a new season.
