Days three and four of the 2017 Eurobasket tournament continued Saturday and Sunday for some of the San Antonio Spurs players and one of their potential prospects, but while the injury bug allowed Adam Hanga to return to play Saturday with his home country of Hungary, it did bite Spurs forward Davis Bertans, who missed Saturday’s game for Latvia with a precautionary finger injury. Here were the scores and stats of the Spurs’ participants in Eurobasket over the weekend.
Saturday 09/02/2017 – Latvia 92 (1-1), Belgium 64
Behind 27 points from Kristaps Porzingis of the New York Knicks, Latvia cruised to their first win of the tournament while Bertans sat out due to a finger injury, which was reported to be just precautionary. Our friends over at BallInEurope.com caught up with Bertans in the video below where he said it was up to team doctors on when he’ll return.

Latvia will face Great Britain Monday at 6:15 AM CST.
Saturday 09/02/2017 – Hungary 48 (0-2), Montenegro 72
After suffering a hip injury during Hungary’s opening game, Spurs prospect Adam Hanga returned to action Saturday with Hungary where he played 22 minutes and provided eight points (3-10 shooting), three assists and two turnovers in what was a blow-out loss for his team. Hanga did have a nifty block early in the game as you can see from the highlight clip below.

While Hungary still has three games left in group play, they must watch their losses as they currently sit 6th in Group C and they still haven’t faced Spain (undefeated). Hungary needs to finish fourth or better in Group C to advance to the next phase of the tournament.
Hungary will play the Czech Republic Monday at 7:00 AM CST.
Saturday 09/02/2017 – Spain 93 (2-0), Czech Republic 56
Spurs center Pau Gasol continued to excel at Eurobasket as he finished with 26 points (9-10 shooting), eight rebounds, two assists and one block in just 20 minutes, as Spain once again won in dominant fashion. Gasol displayed his wide skill set which included scoring from the post, fast break, pick-and-roll, mid-range and 3-point area, while also providing a block, as his highlight clip below will show.

Saturday 09/02/2017 – France 95 (1-1), Greece 87
Alongside Orlando Magic guard Evan Fournier (21 points), Spurs center Joffrey Lauvergne led Les Bleus with a double-double of 21 points (10-14 shooting), 11 rebounds and one assist in France’s first win of the tournament.
Sunday 09/03/2017 – France 115 (2-1), Iceland 79
In France’s second victory of the group phase, Lauvergne provided 13 points (5-6 shooting), two rebounds and two assists in close to 14 minutes of play.
Up next, Les Bleus will play again on Tuesday against Poland at 8:30 AM CST.
